    Description

Doll is inscribed with Mon Cheri and LP for Louis Leon Prieur, made in Paris. Brown human hair wig attached to pate. Beautiful coloring, no cracks or chips on the bisque; she does have a teensy manufacturer's bump near her chin, but it does not detract from her - it looks like a beauty mark. Fixed stunning blue eyes. Compo body is jointed and in good condition. Doll is wearing what I believe to be her original slip and bonnet. The other clothing is most likely newer; I am not certain about her little felt shoes - they may be original to the doll as well. Her dress does not perfectly match the obviously antique bonnet, although it is a very close match, the velvet dress is a tad lighter, although very well made. The dress snaps in the back. The slip snaps, as well. The bonnet is absolutely breathtaking - dark, rich burgundy velvet lined with antique lace. The ribbon tie is falling apart and extremely fragile. The antique slip has eyelet trim and is obviously very old and fragile, as well. The pantaloons do not fit the doll perfectly as the slip does; instead, the safety pin spans the sides to allow room for them to fit the doll; these appear newer. The doll is wearing a necklace that is obviously newer; the chain is too bright gold; cannot tell about the pendant. Old tag that came with the doll dates her to 1927. Similar doll with same markings recently sold for 1. No further discounts on doll will be taken.
