    Description

Offered here is a super sweet, deeply embossed, 19th century die cut of three small girls dressing a doll with a ribbon. There are toys hung from a Japanese umbrella--a zebra, soldier, balls. One little girl is sitting on the floor in front of a bucket and the viewer wonders if she is washing a doll dress, while a doll house and French Fashion doll are posed behind her. A dog chews a garment near the girls--hopefully not a lovely doll dress!
The die cut measures 4 1/4" x 6 1/8" and it is in very good condition. I’ve taken several photos as due to the glossy finish on the paper, there can be glares which look like paper loss but there is not poster loss. This embossed due cut is at least 130 years old. Please look at the photos for condition. There is only a very small amount of the paper surface chipping below the little girls dress and is not even noticeable. The paper is not brittle. The frame measures 7” x 4 3/4”.
This heavily embossed die-cut is lightly mounted in two small spots to the bluish mount board, and all fits into the wooden antique frame with glass. The die-cut could be removed from the mount board if desired with a blade. I have left it as is, and laid into the frame and glass but not permanently assembled so it could be taken out if desired. The back board is only taped on so owner can keep the die cut in the frame or remove it easily and rubber bands will hold it all together for owner decide to keep it framed or exhibit in another manner. This offering is for the embossed lightly mounted die cut, frame and glass with cardboard backing.
