Description

First year, purchased from the Original Owner, 1982 Fender 57 AVRI Stratocaster finished in a
two Tone Tobacco Finish. I was told when I purchased the guitar by the original owner that he Purchased on 11/16/82 & played it from purchase date until 1987. Then it was cased and retired to the closet.
He also told me that the original Black Bottom Fender pickups were replaced but lucky the originals were kept & professionally re-installed (Hard to date these so look at pictures of the pickups now re-installed & feel free to ask questions. Again I was told this at the time of purchase ) Fender stamp in neck pocket matches Serial number. The Guitar  also comes with original case (used & stained but still functioning well), ash .tray bridge cover , Whammy Bar, strap & even keys to the case. Information listed is what I was told upon purchase (I am not original owner) I have taken many pictures of interior, electronics, and listed as told to me at purchase. If Any questions AGAIN feel free to ask This is All I know about the guitar)

57 American Vintage Reissue Stratocaster (1982 – Present)
June 20, 2018
Model info: Designed after the 1957 version of the Stratocaster, the 1982 ’57 American Vintage Reissue, produced both in Japan and at the U.S. Fullerton plant, was Fender’s look to the past for its stake in the future. Features included a 21-fret maple neck with maple fingeroboard, vintage-size frets, alder body, white pickguard, 3 American Vintage single coil pickups, 3-position pickup selector switch installed (5-position replacement included), and vintage-style vibrato/bridge. Available in Black, Candy Apple Red, Fiesta Red, 2-Tone Sunburst, Vintage White, and Ocean Turquoise.
Notes: Though the Fender-CBS period was just about to end (1985), 1982 was an important year for Fender as both the Standard (“Dan Smith”) Stratocaster, which a few years later (1986) would become Fender’s flagship American Standard, and the two American Vintage Reissues (’57 and ’62), were introduced to a public hungry for the pre-CBS Stratocaster.
