26" antique Jumeau Portrait French Fashion Bride - exhibition size

Description

Here is a large and elaborately costumed, early Emile Jumeau bride doll in an imposing 26" tall size from 1860's-70's. She has perfect bisque head save a tiny eye flake in her right inside upper eyelid. Head is pressed bisque and marked size 10 on back of the neck. Her face has lovely delicate painting in a peach color and dark brown paperweight eyes. She has her original pate and beautiful wavy original lush mohair Jumeau wig. Her body is kid and is very clean and intact. Even the fingers are clean and pristine. She wears multiple layers of cotton underclothes and an original factory Jumeau ivory silk two piece bridal gown with lace, long train, beads, flowers and pleated silk trim. It's a beautiful and rare costume in this condition. She also wears matching ribbon-decorated hat with store label inside. Lastly she wears antique stockings and antique leather boots. She is quite a beauty to behold and carries her prize winning ribbon from the 2006 Dallas UFDC convention competition. She would look great displayed with bridesmaids and flower girl!
