Extra-large antique French doll. Bisque head with glass eyes; open mouth with teeth; pierced ears; marked: 12. Wig is marked 'human hair' and appears to be vintage. Wood body jointed at neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips and knees; all joints move easily. Pink wool coat and bonnet appear to be children's quality clothing from the 1950s; lacy white dress and bloomers appear to be handcrafted from 1960s. Antique leather shoes. Last photo shows my mother's 1986 receipt of 0 for the doll purchase. Doll stand included.
29” overall height. Very good condition overall. Head in very good condition with no chips/cracks. Body in very good condition with light finish wear and old repair to reattach finger; see close-up.
Please forgive me for not redressing the doll for shipment; am assuming you'll be wanting to inspect her upon delivery. Thanks. Will be professionally packaged with lots of cushion to protect and immobilize for a safe delivery. Of the hundreds of dolls our late mother collected over her lifetime, this was the most prized.
