Belton-Type Cabinet Doll
Original Antique Doll - Made in France (or Possibly Germany)
According to DollReference.com: "Belton-type dolls are not attributed to any single antique doll maker.  Dolls are probably German, but usually attributed to the French.  It's also possible that Belton-type dolls were made in both countries."

This is a super-cute Belton-type mystery doll with markings on the back of her head which are illegible.  She stands about 9" tall, but she packs a lot of punch for her size!
She has a kid body and dome shoulder head with closed mouth and beautifully painted features, sweet blue paperweight eyes, and a wonderfully full blond mohair wig.
Her silk outfit is very old and could be original to the doll. The silk is showing its age, but still displays wonderfully, with beautiful silk-and-lace handiwork.   She has an amazingly crafted hat with ribbon and tiny ostrich plumes.
She has adorable undergarments as well, and very nice antique leather shoes.
Somebody will be a lucky owner of this precious girl.

- Beautiful antique condition, from a non-smoking environment.
- Her beautiful bisque head is in great condition, with no cracks, hairlines, or chips found after careful examination.
- The silk parts of her dress have some age loss on close examination.  See photos.
- The wig is attached to her dome head with an adhesive.
IMPORTANT:
Besides the noteworthy issues mentioned above, EXPECT any antique doll (bisque/composition/leather/china/wood) to ALSO have:
(1) SIGNS OF AGE - for example: toned/crazed/chipped composition, minor wig pulls, loss of "hair" lashes on bisque heads, not-so-tight stringing, etc., and ...
(2) MINOR CONSERVATION WORK by previous owners/collectors - for example: reset eyes (in most cases!), repairs to wig, repairs to clothing, touch-ups on composition/finish/paint, etc.
SO ... Any MAJOR issues -- hairline crack, total repaint, etc. -- would be itemized above, but these normal age/conservation details are not.  They are to be expected.  Thank you.

It is with deep regret that -- after 14 years selling on eBay, and with 100% positive feedback -- I've had to change my return policy on dolls to "NO RETURNS, AND NO PARTIAL REFUNDS."
As often happens, it's the few bad apples out there who ruin it for the rest of us. These dishonest people will buy a doll, then try to improve or restore it ... not knowing what they're doing. And then, when they realize they've ruined the doll, they return it saying it was defective.  Or else they keep the doll and demand a "partial refund" based on the alleged defect -- which is another trending scam on eBay.
I sell these dolls for a living so,
my sincere apologies to you
