Offered at auction is an amazing and rare 1860's Joseph Bates walnut stereoscope. Take a look at the pressed motif in the walnut veneer hood. The stereoscope features excellent large lenses common to the earliest stereoscopes with brass hardware and a stationary bauble handle. It has the early Bates cone shaped tacks.
