Antique Floral Hand Painted French Faience Lidded Butter Dish

Description

Offered is this beautiful antique French butter tub with a hand painted top and hand painted body.
This was painted by Henri Chaumeil between 1890-1920.
It features an almost picket fence form and has a hand painted Pivoine or Peony and wild flower bouquet on one side and pink and yellow flowers with green leaves on the other side.
Both the lid and the body has what they refer to as "combing" on the edges.
It measures 3.5 inches tall with lid and 3.75 inches wide.
You can put all sorts of items in this lovely covered dish!
It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
