Antique French Redware Pottery kugelhopf cake pudding moldDescription: Offering an ANTIQUE French redware/terra cotta pottery kugelhopf mold identical to one attributed to originate in Alsace France. This piece of redware pottery is umber in color. Unfinished on the outside.
It has no cracks, scratches or contemporary repairs, and only the smallest rim chips, assurance of its use.
A heavy piece, it weighs 2 pound 9 ounce.
This type of mold was commonly used to make puddings or cakes in the north east region of France, near Germany.
Maker’s Mark: Made in France, 5.
Dimensions:
9” diameter, 4” high
Condition:
VERY GOOD: Smaller flaws indicate normal use and age.
Flaws: tiny chips on the glaze on the outer rim and the center hole.

We rescued this at a recent estate auction.
