This is a unique working power supply for use to show and demonstrate the excited states of gas discharge tubes, the tube used in my pictures runs a little long  fir this device i would say 3" to 12" would be a good fit for tube as in the picture  is about 14"
I have seen a few of these but i do not believe any displayed  working condition, This works great, no noise when turned on. I was surprised because  of its age to not show any signs of being on, not a buzz or vibration, ect. This is a really cool device,
