    "Timide" translates to
    Shy,
    a delightful offering from the Gautier-Languereau 1935 catalog of ready-made clothes for Bleuette. My interpretation was created from a vintage cotton with a patterned nap in minty pale aqua. Her crisp cotton collar is highlighted with a gros-grain ribbon bow of contrasting black. Tiny antique shell buttons hold down the points where the belt attaches at the front. The back closes simply with tiny metal hooks and eyes.
    The darling matching bonnet frames her face so sweetly. It is made from Swiss hat braid and is unlined and trimmed with matching fabric and a
    gros-grain bow at the back.
