Description
This Pattern will make two boudoir dolls plus clothing. Includes a transfer to hand embroider the faces, instructions and all uncut pattern pieces. Finished dolls are 33 inches tall. The McCall 1693 Sewing Pattern is from an Antique 1920’s pattern.Boudoir dolls are collectable decorative bed or sofa dolls. They were very popular 1915 to 1930. Today they are highly sought for.
These attractive dolls are very easy to make following the pattern and directions given.
Doll A is dressed in a pajama suit of jade green satin trimmed with bands of blue transparent velvet. (Silk bands may be used if desired.) The appliqué pieces can be cut entirely from the blue velvet or two shades of blue, green and purple, if scraps of material are on hand.
The body of doll is made of unbleached muslin and the shoes of black satin. (A piece of ribbon may be used instead for shoes)
Doll B has skirt, sleeves, neck ruffle and bloomers of white satin; bodies, tam and trimming bands of purple transparent velvet (silk may be used if desired.) The design on the skirt is embroidered with Shetland floss and gold embroidery thread. The body of doll is made of unbleached muslin and the shoes of black satin or ribbon.
