  • Condition: This machete seems to be in original almost unused condition. The paper label is still attached, and the blade seems to have the original edge. There is a nick at the butt end of the handle at one end, and there is general soiling from age, but I don't see any issues with this one. The handle is tight and the blade is straight and true. Excellent condition with soiling. Estate find sold as found. I have not cleaned it in any way.

    Description

    This listing is for a vintage Collins Legitimus machete in very good to excellent condition.   The blade is 22 inches long, and the total length is 27 inches.  I have no sheath for it.  This machete seems to be in original almost unused condition.  The paper label is still attached, and the blade seems to have the original edge.  There is a nick at the butt end of the handle at one end, and there is general soiling from age, but I don't see any issues with this one.  The handle is tight and the blade is straight and true.  Excellent condition with soiling.  Estate find sold as found.  I have not cleaned it in any way.    I have another Collins machete up for sale right now, and I have hundreds of antiques and collectibles listed in my store.  All of my items were found in estate sales and cleanouts on Cape Cod.  None of the items have been touched by the public, just stored in totes. All items have been stored for weeks or thoroughly washed.  I am in a low risk area and I am observing all precautions for virus protection.
