, this lovely, 7 1/2" tall, doll
has a
fine bisque, swivel sockethead
incised
: S.F.B.J./60/Paris
and has lovely painted features with gorgeous, brown enamel painted eyes and eyebrows, rosy complexion and a
closed mouth
.
She has a five-piece, composition and wood-jointed body  with padded bust and painted boots.
She
has a short black, human hair wig beneath
her elaborate headdress, which is trimmed with fine lace, bow and ribbon detail and she wears her original matching, long ribbon trimmed apron, shawl and ribbon sash around her waist. Beneath this she wears her charming long sleeved dress with ribbon trim, matching petticoat and panties and traditional, brown painted boots. She has
two additional, original red, white and blue) paper labels: Fabrication Francaise
EDEN BEBE
and
Bretonne
and blue label: Made in France still attached.
She illustrates how this French doll *manufacturing group evolved their line of dolls just before World War I. (
Jumeau
was also a member of this prestigious group.)
She is in excellent, pristine condition with no damages, no chips, cracks or hairlines, no fading or stains, no repairs and no odors as she is from a smoke free home.
