A gorgeous DISPLAY READY Fashion doll in a hard to find DIMINUTIVE SIZE with her original fancy deep BLUE VELVET couture promenade ensemble entirely PARIS BOUTIQUE in origin; you will love her MAGNIFICENT PRESENTATION!
Her amazing outfit consists of a two piece lined matching royal blue velvet fitted jacket and matching promenade skirt that was obviously made by a very talented French seamstress in the late 1800's----the detail is just GORGEOUS!  The jacket has wonderful  seaming on the bodice front and back, with lilac silk piping around the neckline, sleeves, and around the hem, and all original seven matching silk covered buttons down the front!  The back of the jacket has the most fabulous pleated tail that incorporates both blue velvet and lilac silk materials, ingeniously acting as her bustle as it makes quite the statement enhancing her derriere!  Her matching skirt is just as beautifully tailored as her jacket, with horizontal gathering of the velvet material on the front and ruching in the back, fabulous TINY PLEATS encircling the hem, and lilac silk piping around the bottom and down the sides; we love the amazing PLEATED LACE that is even on the underside of the skirt hem!    ,
Underneath she wears her original and beautiful antique white wear lace trimmed Fashion doll undergarments including a very lovely HALF SLIP as well as PANTALOONS, original cream cotton FASHION STOCKINGS, and her original faux leather BLACK SLIPPERS!  To complete her outfit is her fabulous matching lilac silk bonnet that has beautiful tucks in the back and feminine gathered ruching in the front, framing her face to perfection!  The exterior silk fabric of the bonnet covers a stiff white netted fabric so that the bonnet is formed and will not lose its shape!   And what Poupee is complete without her original Fashion jewelry; in this case a tiny pair of antique JUMEAU BLUE glass ball earrings in her pierced ears!
Her beautiful and fair molded bisque head and shoulder plate has almost a PARIAN APPEAL, with BEAUTIFULLY BLUSHED cheeks, intense vibrant blue PAINTED EYES with painted black lids, pupils and tiny red corner dots that create a "limpid" look, single stroke painted dark DRAMATIC EYEBROWS, and the sweetest painted red ROSEBUD MOUTH slightly upturned at the corners!  She has her original, though slightly sparse, BLONDE MOHAIR wig that is parted in the center and upswept in a small twist in the back, and she has her original CORK PATE!
Her original white kid LEATHER BODY has "mitten hands" and has the typical "Y" seaming at the waist down to her crotch, with seaming on her ankles, on her buttocks and down the back of her legs which are gusseted at the back of the knees.  The body is in EXCELLENT SHAPE, and in its original state, very clean with minor aging and no leaks or repairs, and has the original oval grayish blue and white printed paper French BOUTIQUE LABEL still attached to the front of her chest which reads "A. DELATHUILERIE, Jouets d' Enfants, PARIS!  Because of the tight fit of her jacket we did not want to remove it entirely for fear of compromising its original integrity, but you can see the AMAZING CONDITION this doll is in------she was obviously never played with!  We have scrutinized her bisque head and shoulder plate as best possible and note no apparent hairlines, chips, or restorations-----she is just PERFECT in every way!
