    Description

    Down to the last sets-
This listing is for one (1) complete set of factory Fender block inlays. These were never meant to exit the factory not installed in a neck, so they didn't even have a Fender part number. I purchased these from a former Fender employee that took a bunch of items destined for the trash bin when Fender briefly closed in 1985, when the Fullerton complex was shut down the rest of the way and the new ownership had to clear out.
I was struggling to find the right thickness material, and was getting a lot of Jaguars and Jazzmasters missing some of the inlays as they were acrylic, and had a tendency to pop out when the glue became brittle. Nobody makes this thickness pearloid right now. It could feasibly be ordered, but in huge quantity. I bought all of his stock, and used it here and there. It also makes great dots as the material has that slight silver metallic cloud present the old inlays had, missing in modern materials. Another characteristic they have I never noticed before is they are somewhat translucent. Modern materials of most vendors (I have tried 10 different materials, the thickest is about half as thick) that are 50% or more opaque.
You are going to get the EXACT set shown. I only managed to get my hands on a few complete sets and a lot of loose, incomplete ones. Because pearloid patterns vary so much, I will send you the very same set  shown. Both sides are represented. You will see some roughness as these are fresh from Fenders manufacturing process, then sat in a large coffee can for decades. They have wear, slight discolor, chips, but the material is present to make full inlay once glued in and sanded.
