early 20C, 1910-early 1930's, I am guessing judging from the estate and item,
hand made / hand sewn Native American doll
.
Body is made of a brown colored buckskin or kidskin.  Flat-dimensional face, features articulated with glass beads, also at neck & around waist in front.  Bottom outside edge of legs has fringe.  The arms terminate in fringed fingers and are pinched and twisted just above the hand.  Soft fat wool yarn is sewn into the back of the head, some strands have come loose.  This figure / doll has small ears.

In very good old / antique condition, some stitiching letting loose in front diagonal chest area, age related surface soiling - not bad.  Some surface "nibbles" on face and body, front and back, not excessive but present.  T

ckskin or kidskin is "shedding" a little, it leaves a light trace I noticed on a white cloth

I referenced the book " Buckskin and Beads, Native American Folk Dolls" by Florence Theriault.  Many tribes had similar style dolls.  I think the closest example was  #8, pg 9, a New York Tuscarora Brave 1.  However there were other dolls that had some of the features from different tribes.  I'm certainly no expert and there is not a lot of research out there as far as I know on this subject.  I can guarantee it is an older Native American doll, found at an antique estate having other old Native American pottery and baskets.
