° Petit & Dumoutier Parisienne Bisque Marotte Twirling musical Doll Jester 1875
Up for auction is an extremely rare parisienne poupée Marotte by Petit and Dumoutier Company (Marked F D in its neck). It has a pressed Bisque Head and a very impressive faced, a fixed swivel neck and dates about 1875. A truly lovely Doll with a closed Mouth, blue glass eyes and original cloth and a stick (most probably bone or ivory). It is in as found condition Cloth and lace unfortunately taken by time ... except for the clothes (which can be replaced) the doll is in good condition - the absolute rarity is a marotte from this manufacturer!!! The music works!
