Great for Summer Decorating - French Country Look! We like them as table decorations with one large bloom each or filled with short stemmed greens- even parsley- for a garden look.
Before the first bid we welcome offers on this set of 3 cups and saucers. After bidding starts we can no longer accept offers.
Shades of the south of France inspire these Vieux Montpellier faience cups and saucers. A sunny yellow with blue, green, black, and gold, make up the color palette. The blue rose on one side is the central feature. On the other side is either a yellow bloom with leaves or a blue bachelor button. Each cup has a rough spot or minor chip on the rim. There are no other flaws on the cups. The saucers are in perfect condition. The saucer diameter is 6 inches. The cup diameter is 3.75 inches with a height of 2.5 inches. On the bottom is "France Hand Painted". The appearance of "France" rather than "Made in France" indicates that the pieces predate 1921.
