SFBJ-239 Poulbot- Antique French Repro Boy & Girl Doll Pair Bisque Jointed. Fully clothed.
Delightful pair of Poulbot dolls, a boy & girl. These are bisque reproductions, with moveable socket heads and  bisque lower arms and legs. They each measure about 8 1/2" tall  They are marked S.F.B.J. 239 Paris with the original incised Poulbot signature. These wonderful rare dolls were originally made in 1913, designed by the French illustrator, Francisque Poulbot and designed to represent the Montmarte, French children left homeless during WW I.
Each are clothed in complimentary matching chemises while the girl wears a simple cotton frock as the boy dons wool pants, scarf and matching beret. The boy holds a bluebird in his left hand!
Both dolls are in superb condition as is there clothing. Both come with appropriate metal stands.
