A rare bird in fantastic shape!  VCP is very happy to offer this killer Tal Farlow from an exceptionally great era of Gibson guitars and the Gibson Custom Shop - the late 90's were a fantastic time for Gibson, both from a craftsmanship standpoint as well as the wood-selection.  Great woods in the late 90's!
With a single cutaway, and incredibly ornate art-deco appointments, the Tal Farlow has been a classic since it's initial inception in 1962.  It was produced in extremely limited quantities until 1967 and then discontinued until 1993.
This rare example is 100% original.   The neck is straight, the frets in fantastic shape.   Finished in a very attractive light "Viceroy Burst" finish - stunning flamed maple throughout with deep growth rings.
This guitar was gigged lightly and shows some minor pick and finger wear in the clear coat.  There is some general finish checking and wear, most notably behind the headstock.  This is NOT a crack or a break, but just a finish check along the contour of the neck and headstock stinger.   The guitar black-lights perfectly and has had no structural damage anywhere.
This highly versatile instrument includes it's original hardshell case as well as the warranty and case tags.
