Here we have a lovely French Fashion doll created circa 1979 by Mildred E. Brown, who was a doll artist operationing out of Arizona, according to the lady from whom I bought the bisque head. She has special French glass blue paperweight eyes that were a special order for this particular doll and they are quite striking if we do say so, ourselves. She has been mounted on a leather-lined shoulder plate and atteched to a cloth and bisque body which has been stuffed firmly with cotton filling, so there should been no allergy problems raising their ugly little heads. She is wearing diamond patterned white stockings and white pantellettes, and well as white "leather" shoes with a side snap. A white crinoline is attached to the inside of the skirt of the dress, allowing it to bell out nicely, with just a little coaxing from you. The under-skirt is red taffeta, with an edging of off-white lace trimmed with red ribbon and little red bows along the hemlines flounce. From the skirt's waist is two peplums of of the same off-white lace: the first almost 3/4 the length of the skirt, and this is trimmed with red ribbon along the edge, the top layer is a third of the length of the actual skirt, but this is plainer, with just a simple ruffle of lace along the edge of this layer. The bodice of the dress is like the skirt, red taffeta and is separated from below with a large ribbon, front and back. The bodice and the sleeves are more off-white lace material, but the bodice is offset with a huge flounce of lace encircling the entire bodice and shoulders of the dress. A tiny red bow at the middle of the bodice breaks up all the lacey interest. Her bonnet, natuerally is red taffeta, with a sunburst of the off-white lace in a jolly double row and it ties under her chin with tiny red ribbons. The doll wears a french wig of human hair, style magficently in three long sausage curls which hang down her shoulders. There are fancy french rolls on the top of her hed which are expertly pinned in place beautifully. A lovely little pouf of curls makes her bangs in front. She is a lovely Parisian lady, to be sure.Payment must be made within 24 hours unless prior arrangements have been made
