    Description

Vintage sign that affixed to a license plate to identify members of a small community fire department in the foot hills of Colorado. Coal Creek Canyon has proximity to the larger communities of Golden and Boulder, Colorado. It had a population of less than 3,000 in the 2010 census. Hard to know exactly how old this sign is, but I would estimate it to be from the 1960's or 1970's era.
The sign is all metal and has a reflective white and red surface. It shows wear from use. The sign is 10 inches long and almost 4 inches high at the highest median point.
