    Details
    Description:
A very nicely decorated pottery mug that is in the shape of a barrel. The mug is unlidded and is short with a raised colorful design showing a man and a woman sitting at a table drinking and the man smoking a pipe. There are two banners one on each side of the mug that say "Froh beim Bier" and Das loben mir" which loosely translate to "Happy with beer that praises me". The mug is colored in cobalt blue with the raised design being very colorful. The mug has gold colored lines along the top and bottom and an applied handle which has a small hole on top (see last photo). It is glazed inside and out and has a gray or off-white color on the inside. It is marked on the bottom of the round base as follows; "HC Made in Western Germany 1957" and there is also the number 5 floating by itself. A nice and rather interesting vintage beer mug to add to your collection. Please carefully review the photos as they are part and parcel of our description.
